Turtles and Tortoises Report Notes and Outside

Turtles and Tortoises Report Notes

I am a mammal. Turtles and lizards and snakes are reptiles.

Anatomy
A turtle or tortoise has a thick shell, four legs, a head and a tail. Many of them can tuck in their head and legs and tail to protect themselves.

Habitat
Turtles live in or near water. Tortoises live on dry land.

Size
Galapogos tortoises are giant. But leatherback turtles are even bigger. They can grow to 1500 pounds. Some turtles are tiny, like mud turtles. They may be less than 5 inches long but they can be vicious and bite like snapping turtles.

Snapping Turtles
A snapping turtle lives here on our farm. He has not bitten us yet, but we do not play with him. He has a twelve inch shell and his tail and head make him 23 inches.

Outside

Daddy goes outside with no shirt on. He pushes the lawn mower.
Daddy is best at clambering outside with me.

About ART for Amy and Emma

Amy I do like Monet and Manet and Picasso and some of Rembrandt and lots of other bright painters. I like these pictures. Do you?

Eric Carle writes and draws baby books. I gave away them. He uses bright nice colors but Emma you are smart to like realistic and impressionistic better than Eric Carle.

All I know about AIR for Mama Linda

Air is usually 20 percent oxygen. Air has other gases too. Nitrogen is in air more than oxygen. Periodic table shows elements. Gas elements like oxygen and nitrogen mix with others. 1 Carbon and 2 oxygen makes carbon dioxide. Water is in air too. The gases 2 of hydrogen and 1 oxygen makes water. So the gases I know are in air are O2, CO2, N, H, and H2O. There others but not sure.

WOLVES for Laura

Canis Lupis is the name for wolves. The words that come after Lupis shows the subspecies. There are white arctic wolves and small reddish brown Mexican wolves. There are plains wolves and other grey and black and brown wolves. I do not know how many. Coyotes are related to wolves. We have coyotes here. I hear them.

Why the WALKER is called Hannah the Helper for Mama Linda

Hannah sounds like a nice girl Uncle Vince knows. And it sounds good with helper.

About mischievous DOGS for Catherine

Dogs like to run and play outside. Your kids should play more with the puppy outside. Tell the puppy to behave in the house or he will have to stay out. He might like it better outside anyway. The puppy Cooper will like very long time walks and runs in the deep trees. Animals are interesting and I tell people what I know about them.

OBEDIENCE

Brandon sits where I tell him to sit. He is obedient.

More About Loader for Priyanka and Love to Daddy

A loader is a machine with an engine. We do not have horses. Our loader is drived by my uncles. They put a big metal spike in front when they want to pick up big round bales of hay. A loader can then poke the hay and lift it high in the air. A uncle then drives it to the hay lot or barn.

Daddy, I love you like food. Yes you are the best. Daddy, people ask me questions and I answer. It is fun.

Gramma's New Walker

Hannah the Helper is Gramma's new walker. I like it. Gramma can roll her and park her and sit on her.

What I Am Like Now

I have grown a lot since that picture. I am big now and I do not crawl like a lizard. I creep like a cat and I can stand like a man. I can walk with help. Next year I will walk with no help.

A little learning every day is fun. I like to research in books. Especially the enclycopedia.

I like to climb and clamber to be high up in the air.
